Victory in Tokyo! garry tonon won his MMA fight against the great former two division champion Martin Nguyen via rear strangle in a shut out performance in the first round tonight at OneChampionship 165 @onechampionship here in Tokyo Japan! He wanted to make a strong display of Jiu jitsu here in the birthplace of the sport and that's what he did with a great expression of restricting an opponent's space and taking away their mobility at the ropes with takedown to mount/rear mount and strangle finish. He had a great training camp where many friends and training partners made great contributions to his preparation. In particular we would like to thank @onelegsexy and @babyfacebenoit and @james.nakashima and @ronnie_rodriguez17 and all the new wave squad who train daily with Garry in Jiu jitsu. The 155 Pound division in OneChampionship is extremely deep and strong and has been in turmoil the last year due to many injuries among the champions and top contenders. Now all that is resolved and it's a field tremendous talent for sure. It's always a great honor to represent jiu jitsu in its birthplace Japan and it was delightful to see Mr Tonon put on such a faultless expression of classic Jiu jitsu against such a great and dangerous opponent here in Tokyo.
