Young guns headed into competition! Three of the most promising developing athletes in New Wave will be competing in the new @pitsubmissionseries run by @karatecombat event in Florida on January 26. Outstanding South African Luke Griffith @luke_griffithjj will be taking on the great ADCC double medalist Vagner Rocha who has always been one of our teams toughest rivals. daniel manasoiu @jiujitsugiant will take on the massive Brazilian black belt world champion Max Gimenis in a battle between two of the biggest men in the sport. Teenage sensation Helena Crevar @helenajiujitsugirl will take on black belt champion Caitlin Murdock in one of her toughest tests so far. Interestingly the bouts will be contested in a Karate combat style pit – a match surrounded by a perimeter that slopes upwards and keeps the athletes inside the mat space through gravity – unusual and should add some spice to the grappling matches as it has a bit of the unknown woven into it. Moreover the matches will be held in a luxury mansion in Florida hosted by some very interesting characters in the entertainment industry.
