When you control inside position it's tough for an opponent to apply his weight and strength on you: If you want to be someone who is difficult to pin down and control – keep your hands, elbows, head, knees and feet inside your opponents limbs. This will make it very difficult for him to control you with grip and weight. Be diligent with this – many people can maintain inside position for short bursts but only a few can maintain it throughout a match. A disciplined approach to gripping makes the rest of your skills much easier to apply
